We are recruiting fully funded PhD researchers in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering.
Helpful backgrounds: thermal-fluids/boiling, optics & instrumentation, and Python/ML for data-driven modeling.

We are happy to advise Master’s thesis research within the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering department at UIC. Students interested in experimental thermal engineering, advanced diagnostics, or computational analysis (vision/ML, data modeling) are encouraged to reach out to discuss thesis fit.

We are currently looking for motivated students with design and fabrication skills (e.g., 3D printing, laser cutting, machining) to contribute to experimental setup development. Opportunities are also available in event imaging, data processing, and ML-based analysis depending on interest.
